Our Principles

We have set up the Orchard Dining company with ‘The Orchard’ in Newport as the showcase for our passion for delivering a quality dining experience.

Having worked together in hospitality for over 10 years we believe firmly in cooking with sustainable principles. We use locally sourced produce wherever possible combined with sensitivity for the environment. The menus will be changed every season to reflect not only customers favourites, but seasonal availability, taste and colour. Every dish will be made in our kitchens from the best ingredients to ensure that dining at The Orchard is a gastronomic delight.

Our staff are a young dynamic team, some have been with us for several years in our outside catering company and everyone in the company shares our dedication to high class customer service. We work hard to ensure that whilst in our employment the young people in our team have a worthwhile ‘first job’ experience; learning soft skills such as collaborative team work and role responsibility as well as developing self  confidence and an understanding of company principles and etiquette. We are extremely proud of each and every person in our team.

We are a family business at heart with most business decisions literally being made over the dinner table! Three generations of our family have been schooled and raised in Newport so it really feels like we are at home in our kitchen and we want our guests to feel at home when they visit too.
